I saw this on the obsidian files blog. Looking for the type of man women usually head for. I guess the Alpha male theory. Here are the rules and reasons.

In Gamespeak, an Alpha Male is a Man who Women in aggregate would choose as a mate based on him possessing the full suite of traits Women have shown to find attractive. Very often, these traits can and often do run counter to conventional notions, such as a prestigious job, vast wealth, or “leading man” looks, although these things certainly don’t hurt.

So, to demonstrate the above, I thought to ask the ladies in the forum who they would choose if it were up them:

I liked the idea… so I decided to answer the questions. I think in turn I will make a list for males to choose from in regards to women, but that will be a min for me to compile the list.

Denzel Washington, or Tom Hanks?

- Tough… Seems like it shouldn’t be… but it is. LOL. I think I will go with Denzel. Denzel seem so cocky and Tom seems so sweet. Tom doesn’t have Sexy Man Swagger, but Denzel has a lazy eye. Tough decision! Can I just say neither and go with Bruise Willis?

Clive Owen, or Will Smith?

-Will Smith. I like Clive Owens… I find him attractive, but will just has something extra. I feel like I could get bored with Mr. Owens. I think Mr. Smith could keep a girl on her toes! He obviously has that “good good” if Jada is still all over it! There have been rumors that Will toys with Scientology and homosexuality, but innocent until proven guilty. Fine… be gay… just don’t be a scientologist! Lol.

Seth Rogen, or Anthony Anderson?

-Seth Rogen. LOL… seems he’s got his life in order. Lost a lot of weight and taking better care of him in general, which is a quite wonderful. I also think that Rogen’s sense of humor suits mine more so than Anderson.

Michael Vick, or Ben Rothlisberger?

-If their past digressions weren’t an issue, I’d go with Vick. He is simply more physically attractive. But dog fighting, I just can’t get behind. I’m in love with pits and that’s just unacceptable. All the money in the world, and you get so damn bored that you fight dogs. WTF?
And Roethlisberger, everything about him sounds corrupt. He reputations make him look the role of sexual predator, and that’s just a big no no! How about we scratch both of them out and throw in Reggie Bush! Lol… that’s a sexy man!

Bill Clinton, or Barack Obama?

-Is this even a real question?? GOBAMA BABY! Don’t get me wrong... I liked Clinton. I even met him when I was younger and he was very nice… but he don’t have that Obama Swagga’!! No one in the Oval’s had swagga’ like his! (Got to sing it so it makes since. LOL)

Daniel Craig, or Idris Elba?

-Tough... neither are men I am 100% attracted to. BUT, I’m going to go with Daniel Craig on this one. This may seem like a dumb reason, but Idris sort of looks like the “bad guy.” Not in life… like he’s a bad man, but in films… He looks like he could play the villain. Perhaps it doesn’t help that I JUST saw The Losers where *SPOILERS* he was the bad guy. Daniel Craig has a look that makes him untraditionally handsome to me. He also just seems like the smooth, strong and silent type. Maybe it’s just the roles I’ve seen him in, but yes to Craig!

Dirk Nowinski, or LeBron James?

-LeBron James! He seems like the fly guy who likes to cuddle when no one is looking… or even when eyes can see. His game is sick and he has hella swag and style! AND taller then me! I don’t find myself terribly attracted to him, but I think the vibe he gives off and the late night cuddling could definitely make up for that.

Jamie Foxx, or Matt Damon?

-Matt Damon! I think Foxx is funny, but a lot of people hide a lot of junk under humor. I’m also not attracted to Foxx. I like his talent, singing, playing piano, but something seems not quite right. Damon comes off as very intelligent, does a lot of writing, good family man…and c’mon; you saw all the Bourne movies!

Eminem, or Black Thought?

I didn’t know who black thought was right off the top of my head so I had to Google him. I knew who he was at that point. If it was based on looks alone… I’m going the Mr. Mathers. I’m going to be honest, I think Eminem is a looker, but he obviously has some problems. I love that his children come first! That is an attractive quality, but lets face it, when it comes to romantic relationships, I don’t see trust being something he has a lot of. Both men have talent, and successful careers but based on Em’s history and the lack of knowledge of Black Thought, I am just going to say Common! LMAO! NOW THAT is a man that has the needed qualities!

Lenny Kravitz, or John Mayer?

Lenny! Probably a bit of a man whore, but John Mayer’s recent “nigger” controversy makes me want to say PASS!!!!!!

Bruce Lee, or Steven Seagal?

-BRUCY BABY! I say nay to Deputy Sheriff Steven Seagal. LMAO Deputy sheriff!

Jason Statham, or Wesley Snipes?

-Jason Statham! Not only did Snipes play the role of drag queen Noxima Jackson, but dated her too! LMAO. The tax fraud? NO! Plus, Statham is sexy and has that accent! Strong silent type. I like that!

Take a moment to think of your idea of the hottest NFL stars past and present. Let’s say you could come up with a list of your Top Ten. Question-do either Mannings (Peyton and Eli) appear on it? Please give say, three names from your list.

-I recall mentioning this name before now, but I’m going to go with Reggie Bush! That is a sexy man! Yea, he’s been attached to Kardashian, but I’ll forgive him! :P

Now, real quick, do the following names appear on your list of Alpha Males:

Steve Jobs – not a bad lookin’ old white guy… very successful, I’m not sure on his home life or list of dirty deeds.

Warren Buffett – Couldn’t tell you who he was.

Bill Gates – No.. although a mogul, and I love a good nerd!!! But he seems like a man that would A: Let me walk all over him (which is great sometimes, but not a sign of a Alpha Male) or B: Run in the face of danger leaving me behind. LOL. Neither are good! I’m no damsel in distress, but I need a man strong enough to protect me if the situation arose.

Would this name be on this list:

Sean Connery?
-OOOH I love Sean Connery! The original Bond! Crazy Swagger! That Accent! Could go to the ends of the world to take care of/provide for his family. (that’s the image I have… I could be wrong)
